Top 10 Respawnables Weapons (last update: September 19, 2015)
This list presents my personal top ten Respawnables weapons. This stacks up the best of the best, and should be a good indicator of which weapons are the best to play with. Remember, the thoughts of other players may differ, and they're entitled to their options as well!
1: Battle Ram (premium): Sitting pretty at the top of my Respawnables top ten list is the Battle Ram, a premium weapon that is by far the most overpowered weapon the game ever seen. The weapon’s damage output and clip size combined with its insane range and accuracy makes this weapon nearly impossible to counter, and very frustrating to compete against. The Battle Ram is your 25 dollar ticket to owning everyone you face, and pissing off everyone you beat with it. The Battle Ram is ridiculously overpowered, and it reflective of how unbalanced Respawnables has become.
2: Dual Freedom Revolvers (premium): I don't enjoy weapons that force you to use a certain armour to make them useful, but this weapon's power is too good to pass up. These weapons kill so quickly with the Black Charro Mask, and at such a large range it's almost impossible to compete when there's someone in the room using them. They remind me of the Darkness Combo Guns, except with infinite range to go along with the incredible damage output. There's two things holding this weapon back from the top spot. The first is the fact that they're only good with the Black Charro Head, which limits clothing options. The other is their shaky accuracy, which Battle Ram laughs in the face of.
3: Minigun (event) & Armed Guitar Case (premium): This position is a tie, because these two weapons are so alike that it's difficult to decide which is better. For a brief overview, both are extremely powerful. They pack insane damage output, good agility, massive clip size and good range. Separating them is extremely difficult. I was going to give the Armed Guitar Case the edge for its accuracy while moving, but the fact it requires that you weak the Black Charro Mask to be powerful limits your clothing options. I call this one a tie, but players can decide for themselves if the mask is too much of a deterrent.
4: Thumper (event): The Thumper is, overall, an absolutely fantastic weapon. It packs one shot in the clip, which might not look good at first, but its insane splash damage radius and ability to one-shot kill make it one of the very best weapons in the game. Thumper is so powerful it’s almost single-handedly responsible for forcing players to use anti-explosive armour to avoid getting one-shot killed. This weapon’s combination of range, power and splash damage make it an absolute game changer, and a fantastic weapon for players to carry in their arsenal.
5: Hunter Shotgun (event): The Hunter Shotgun is an oddity for shotgun weapons in Respawnables, but that’s also the reason why the Hunter Shotgun is the best shotgun weapon in the game. Boasting impressive damage and range and the ability to OHKO with the S.F. Headset, the Hunter Shotgun is able to counter every other shotgun weapon in the game. The weapon’s strange reloading animation can get in the way, but it’s still a dominant weapon worthy of the #5 spot.
6: Flare Gun (premium): The next one-shot kill weapon to make the list, the Flare Gun is one of the most interesting weapon concepts in the game, and also one of the most powerful. While the weapon’s shaky accuracy against moving targets can be frustrating, the weapon’s great agility, range and damage make it a fast-paced and powerful weapon to play with. It’s definitely one of the best premium weapons in the game, and is easily worth using if you happen to own it.
7: Darkness Combo Guns (premium): This weapon is the definition of cool. Its flashy design and special glowing animations make this weapon stand out. What really makes this weapon cool, though, is how insanely powerful it is. This weapon’s fire rate is ridiculously fast, allowing it to kill extremely quickly. It close ranges, this weapon is very tough to counter. So why’s it at #7? Firstly, its accuracy is unreliable, and could cost you if it can’t connect with its target. Secondly, it requires the use of the Shadow Hunter Braid in order to be viable, which limits your gear options. Still, its absurd power is too good to pass up, and the weapon claims a place on the list. (Note, the Toxic Guns and Haunted Guns are just as good as this weapon is if you pair them with the Shadow Hunter Braid.)
8: Rocket Guitar Case (event): The second of the Guitar Case weapons on the list is kinda overshadowed by the Thumper, but it's still a solid weapon, and easily the best rocket weapon in the game. It's a bit like Thumper, except with a bigger clip size, weaker damage and worse agility. If this weapon had better agility, it'd be higher on this list, as well as if it didn't depend on the Black Charro Gear to be viable. Still, the weapon is powerful, and has a niche in being the only explosive weapon to (efficiently) beat players with anti-explosive armour.
9: Revolver (cash): Enter Revolver, quite possibly one of the most fun weapons in the game to play with. It has been knocked down far from its old position atop the list, but it’s still one of the most versatile weapons in the game thanks to its great range and agility, a rare combination that makes this weapon deadly in the hands of an experienced player. No newbie will play well with this weapon, but those who really put the effort into it, it's a joy to play with. The Revolver is one of the few remaining Cash weapons that is still viable today; all the others have dropped off the list.
10: Double Barrel Shotgun (gold): The Double Barrel Shotgun is the king of close-range combat. The weapon’s damage at this range is incredibly high, destroying any player who dares get close. Its large clip size and handy ability to fire while reloading are also good reasons to give it a try. For those who own the S.F. Headset, the Double Barrel Shotgun is even more powerful, and packs monstrous damage at an ever larger range than before.
Some runners-up that I didn't mention in this list:
- Semi-Automatic Sniper. Respawnables hasn't been kind to snipers, and their fall from the top 10 is reflective of this.
- Automatic Shotgun, which got knocked off following the surge of overpowered MX weapons. Still a great weapon, and very capable with the S.F. Headset.
- Dragon Breath Cannon, which finally met the same fate as the Howitzer Gun and fell of the list for its bad agility.
