Salute Our Troops
This event is so similar to Road to Glory the developers might as well have called it Road to Glory 2. Actually, I think the only reason they didn't is so they wouldn't be criticised when the Automatic Shotgun was removed from the prize pool. The event is basically a mess of winning Team Vs. and Free For All matches, with the former being extremely tedious due to Team Vs' flawed mechanics and the latter being extremely difficult if you can't beat all the Battle Ram users.
The update the event was introduced with added the new Shock Force Bundle, a powerful new set of items that immensely improves shotgun weapons, breathing new life into various weapons and making many of them extremely powerful. Along with the bundle came the Automatic Shotgun, which made a reappearance with a fancy new chocolate-coloured skin.
The event's final tier prize, earned after completing a bunch of Team Vs and Free For All matches in high positions, is the new (or not so new) Minigun weapon. It's never been introduced to the game before, but we've known about it for a very long time thanks to an image released by the developers in August 2014 that showed the Minigun amongst a stack of other existing weapons.
One good thing I will say about this event, with how lazy it is and flawed it is aside, is that it's much more easily achievable without in-app purchases than events like Chinese New Year and Earth Day, which were absolutely ridiculous in that regard.

Prizes & Requirements
|
The prizes and requirements for the event can be seen in the table to the left. The theme of the event is nearly identical to the aforementioned Road to Glory event, asking players to be the "best recruit in the troop" and finish in the top positions in various game modes. The event has fifteen tiers of varying difficulty. You'll most likely spend the most time on the tiers that ask you to finish on the winning team of Team Vs games, if not the last three tiers that ask you to finish in first in Free For All multiple times. As stated earlier, these tasks are both tedious and annoying in their own ways, due to flawed mechanics and unbalanced aspects of the game.

Finally, my last tip that gets its own place away from the others for its importance: use the Spotter gadget. I swear by this gadget for every difficult event, even just simple gameplay in general. Knowing where people are lets you plan around them, fire around corners in advance, time your shots, know when someone's behind you, the list goes on. It's such a versatile gadget and makes for some of the most satisfying kills as well. If you have Cash and nothing to spend it on, spend it on Spotter and use it in the event. It helps in so many ways.
