Automatic Shotgun
The Automatic Shotgun is a very good weapon, and is the only shotgun in the same besides the Hunter Shotgun (which can barely be compared to the other shotguns in Respawnables) that has not yet been "nerfed" with a protective armor. Its playstyle is very similar to that of the Double Barrel Shotgun, buts its higher fire rate means that you have to keep a close eye on your shots remaining and when you need to reload. Due to this, it could be said that the weapon is outclassed by the Double Barrel Shotgun, but with the Close Quarters Vest affecting it, the Automatic Shotgun still proves to be an interesting alternative to the Double Barrel Shotgun.
The Automatic Shotgun's rapid-fire mechanic does not change its playstyle very much at all. It has low range, so it is best used on maps that can help players with the weapon find players from a short distance like Headquarters or Sandtown. Like other shotguns, the Automatic Shotgun is quite reliant on how you move to be effective. Moving to the side of players rather than running directly at them is important to playing well as it can help throw off the player's aim, and prevents them from running around your back easily. Popping around corners and beating players is also key to the weapon; the Spotter gadget will help a lot with this. |

The most significant difference with this weapon compared to Double Barrel Shotgun is when you should begin firing. Typically the Double Barrel Shotgun should only fire at extremely close ranges. This is because if the weapon fails to KO or misses, the player will be left vulnerable while the character pumps the next bullet and gives the player a chance to beat the player. This is especially significant to the Double Barrel Shotgun as the weapons in Respawnables kill very very quickly, so every moment you can't fire is important. The Automatic Shotgun does not suffer from this flaw. While its clip will be depleted rather quickly, generally you can beat a player if you start firing as soon as the crosshairs go red, given that you continue moving toward the player. This is the weapon's main reason to be used over Double Barrel; its fire rate is more reliable and provides no break in between for the player to move around or begin weakening you (besides reloading).
Moving in a circle around the player at closer ranges is the most efficient way to use the weapon; once again, footwork is key to doing this correctly. This is the best way to throw off Blunderbuss and Double Barrel Shotgun, which will typically only lose to this weapon if they miss or protective armor is used against them.

TL; DR
It feels like it kills more slowly than other shotguns in the game, but its fire rate applies constant pressure and gives the player no break in between shots to move away or shoot. Good weapon.
