Anti Material Sniper
The Anti Material Sniper is one of the two good snipers in the game, the other being Hunter Rifle. At extremely long ranges, it is without a doubt one of the best weapons in the game; no weapon can deal the same amount of damage as it does at this distance apart from its fellow sniper counterpart, Hunter Rifle. Anti-Material Sniper does, however, unfortunately carry many of the same burdens as the Sniper Rifle does. It still packs one major advantage that sets it apart from the Sniper Rifle: the ability to fire consecutive shots. The standard Sniper Rifle does a small reload between each shot, which drastically slows you down and makes a headshot nearly mandatory for you to kill the player without them escaping first. The Anti-Material Sniper does not have this issue and is free to fire another shot immediately after the last, making it more effective.
Like other snipers in the game, Anti-Material Sniper requires a massive amount of precision with scoping in for it to be effective, which firstly means it takes a lot of practise to used correctly and secondly makes it quite ineffective at closer ranges. However, if you put time into it, sniping becomes a very effective way to pick off players from a long distance and makes for some thrilling "quickscope" plays. |

As mentioned before, you will require a lot of experience with snipers to play with them well. Here are some tips as to how you might go about improving your skills.
Whether or not Hunter Rifle is better than this weapon is all based on personal opinion as both weapons have their pros and cons. I personally believe that Hunter Rifle is better due to its higher agility, OHKO powers and the ability to partially fix its slow reload between shots.
- Find a set of controls that work for you and stick with them. Many different combinations of fingers, positions and techniques work, so find one that suits you and allows you to scope in and out the fastest.
- Learn how to "quickscope". If this term does not makes sense, it means quickly scoping in, firing at the player and scoping out. This technique is vital to satisfy the weapon's needs to scope in (as its accuracy is non-existent without it). The reason why scoping in and out between kills works so effectively is the auto-aiming system in Respawnables, which will aim for the player's body after you scope in, if the player is in the middle of the screen. If you can fire fast enough, you'll hit them before they can move away. After you land one hit, scope out and repeat the scope in + fire sequence. Never drag the crosshairs on the screen as you will more then likely miss the shot if the player is moving. By scoping out and scoping back in, the auto-aiming can reset itself to the body, which makes the player easier to hit.
- Aim for the headshot. This weapon will almost never get the one-hit KO on a body shot unless it's really close range and the player uses no health armor. However, headshots are an immediate KO, which is incredibly useful as you don't have to land the second hit. Do not get the wrong idea, though; if aiming for a headshot is irrational and will not be possible, it's better to attempt the two body shots.
- Use the Spotter gadget. I recommend using the Spotter gadget regardless of what weapon you're using, since knowing the location of players is a priceless advantage. However, with sniper it's especially important as it allows you to get your crosshairs out in advance before players come around corners, position perfectly for a headshot and hit the player as they turn. By knowing where players are, you can predict where they will move and position the headshot perfectly. In areas of limited visibility, you can also use the yellow arrows from the spotter to know exactly where the head is to hit the headshot.

TL; DR
Sniping is a very tricky but very fun way to play Respawnables. If you are prepared to learn it, it's a great way to play and a worthy investment of 490 Gold.
